When we arrived we were one of the first patrons of the day about an hour after they opened. The server was a little lackluster when it came to personality and attentiveness but the food for the cost at Mandalay Bay by the pools was hard to complain about. We were there on a saturday morning but the quality of food and the quick turnaround by the kitchen was great. The server as I mentioned was lacking any excitement or urgency. I really hate these resorts where income for the employees come from tips but they have no desire to serve you well and earn the tips.

Waited over 10 minutes to be acknowledged at the hostess station. Finally seated, then another 10 ten minutes to be acknowledged at the table and only after I said something. I ordered nachos and had to send them back 3 times. The fries we ordered tasted like they were fried 2 days ago. Couldn’t even be eaten. The waitress was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Had to finally ask for a manager. She was very professional and handled the situation, but it never should have gotten that far. Will never stay there again.

Good location - captive audience. Unfortunately that means that service is slow - took three separate people at my table to place my order. Probably the most overcooked chicken I have ever had in the focaccia sandwich. Mediocre. Not sure why it needs melted cheese on the bread as well as in the sandwich....perhaps a great way to hide the quality of the chicken? Poor, mushy industrial-vat made guacamole. It’s a beach bar, in a hotel, so don’t expect a food sensation. Some TLC with the food prep would improve it immensely.

Ordered a cocktail by the pool, waitress assumed I wanted the largest size available.. One drink cost me $25 after tip and I didn’t even ask for that size. When I confronted the waitress she said “the other size drink is a rip-off” NO $25 FOR A DRINK IS A RIPOFF NEVER AGAIN.
